Pricing

HELPP Vet pricing is based on blocks of time and the level of veterinary professional you wish to use. The average call takes around 8 minutes.


HELPP Vet pricing is from:

• *Veterinary Specialist : NZD$45 for the first 10 mins, then NZD$15 for each 5min block after that.
• Veterinarian / **Animal Doctor : NZD$35 for the first 10 mins, then NZD$10 for each 5min block after that.
• Vet Technician : NZD$30 for the first 10 mins, then NZD$10 for each 5min block after that.
• Vet Nurse : NZD$25 for the first 10 mins, then NZD$8 for each 5min block after that.
  
  That certainly beats a 1-2 hour round trip to a vet clinic, an agitated pet, and a large bill for advice you could have received instantly on HELPP Vet!

  * A Veterinary Specialist can be compared to a surgeon (vs General Practitioner) in the human world. Specialists are veterinarians who have higher qualifications and skills in a particular area of veterinary medicine. They have received advanced training and passed recognised specialist exams in order to become registered specialists. 
  
  **An Animal Doctor is a registered veterinarian in a different location to a pet/animal owner. For regulatory reasons they cannot be referred to as a 'veterinarian' in a location where they are not registered. 
  
  - The minimum charge is the cost of the first 10min block.
  - If the call takes less than 1 minute, the pet owner will not be charged.
